This Privacy Policy explains how Rois Lappas ("I", "me", "my") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit www.roislappas.com (the "Website"). I am committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the applicable laws of the Republic of Cyprus.

Information you give me:

  • Contact form and email: your name, email address, phone number (if provided) and the content of your message.

  • Newsletter: your first name, last name and email address if you subscribe.

  • Live chat: your name, email address and the messages you send through the chat on the Website.

  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, and approximate location (country or city).

  • Usage data: pages you visit, time spent on pages, the website that referred you, and how you interact with the Website.

 

This information is collected using cookies and similar technologies (see section 5).

3. How and why I use your data

I use your personal data to:

  • respond to your enquiries and provide quotes or services you request (legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of a contract);

  • send you my newsletter, only if you have subscribed (legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time);

  • understand how visitors use the Website so I can improve it (legal basis: legitimate interests, or consent where required for cookies);

  • display advertising on the Website (legal basis: your consent to advertising cookies);

  • keep the Website secure and prevent fraud or abuse (legal basis: legitimate interests);

  • comply with legal obligations.

I do not sell your personal data.

4. Who I share your data with

Your data may be shared with trusted service providers who help me run the Website, only as far as needed:

  • Wix.com Ltd., which hosts the Website and processes data submitted through forms, chat, newsletter signups and analytics. You can read Wix's privacy policy at wix.com/about/privacy.

  • Google, for analytics, search services and advertising (see section 6).

  • Social media platforms (such as LinkedIn, Instagram and X), if you click links to my profiles. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave the Website.

I may also disclose data if required by law or to protect my legal rights.

5. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. The Website uses:

  • Essential cookies, which are needed for the Website to work and keep it secure;

  • Analytics cookies, which help me understand how visitors use the Website;

  • Advertising cookies, which are used to show ads and measure their performance.

7. International transfers

Some of my service providers, such as Wix and Google, may process your data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

8. How long I keep your data.

  • Enquiries and correspondence: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless we work together, in which case records are kept as long as required for legal and tax purposes.

  • Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.

  • Analytics data: according to the retention settings of the analytics provider.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data I hold about you;

  • ask me to correct inaccurate data;

  • ask me to delete your data;

  • restrict or object to how I process your data;

  • receive your data in a portable format;

  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before you withdrew it.

If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, you can complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus (www.dataprotection.gov.cy) or to the data protection authority in your country.

10. Security

I take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. The Website is hosted on Wix, which uses industry-standard security, including HTTPS encryption. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

 

11. Children

The Website is not aimed at children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the date at the top.
